Just published.
http://gimpscripts.com/2017/08/coloured ... edcrochet/
Derived from my previous filter CrazyCrochet.
Differences are:
- simplified flow (few options)
- addition of plasma colours
- addition of a pattern texture

By default it makes use of one pattern randomly chosen among those having "fract" as a selecting string.
The package contains a small sample (4 patterns, 2 coloured and 2 B&W).
In the following posts I will attach my full set of created "fractal patterns".
If you like yuou may download and use them.

A note on the usage of the pattern filtering string in the parameter of the new filter:
- the default is Fract: in this case the choice is made among the coloured patterns
- if you modify it in FraBW: the choice is made among the black & white patterns
- if you modify it in Fra: the choice is made among all coloured and B&W sets

A second note on the filter usage:
- as in all my last filters, I make use of random selections (tha plasma applied is randomly selected, the pattern also)
- hence, if you do not like one outcome just relaunch the filter and you will get a different one, even with the same parameters

Don’t be afraid to start over. It’s a new chance to rebuild what you want.

Yeah I liked this filter a lot.

The 2.10 version did not finish for me. I changed line 319
from
pdb.gimp_context_set_brush_size (bsize)
to
pdb.gimp_context_set_brush_size ("1.0")

It appears strange, that statement requires a float, not a string.
Also, the filter sets bsize at the minimum value of 1.8

Yes, I should have checked the procedure browser to see that....
Let's try and see what happens with legal FLOAT.
