this was my first peace of work in gimp (including the watermark)
hope you like it, I'm not a pro of any thing

To allow us to better appreciate your work, you should add at least a thumbnail of the original picture. I also wonder about the appropriateness of oversize watermarks on a picture which is likely not technically yours?

Good point. Seeing the watermark, I'd assume that Alonte was the copyright owner of the photo. Putting one's name on someone else's copyrighted material could expose them to a law suit.

look i'm a beginner with gimp, these were the first ones i did in gimp just to get my feet wet so to speak, i learn how to do the watermark from a video on youtube i got the pictures from a free website i didn't know how to do these thing before i saw the video on youtube i was just trying to teach myself the original doesn't look like this, this one is the result from play around with the tools i don't even know what i did to get the result that's why i joined this group
my name is Alonte Julius Samuels i just wanted to learn how to do the watermark that all sorry if i upset anyone

i don't know how to make a thumbnail

We're not upset, Alonte. We're just trying to offer some suggestions and point out a few pitfalls you might experience along the way.

It's a good idea to post a copy of the original image so we can see what it looked like before you modified it, kind of a "before and after", if you will.

A thumbnail is simply a smaller image than the original. There is a thumbnail button Image available on the post entry screen. It's located just to the left of the magnifying glass.
