Spending the day with my daughter and grand kids.

My oldest daughter lives about 75 miles away and doesn't get to come down much. She and my grand kids are coming down today. We plan to bbq some small dead animals and then go soak in the lake at the local state park.
But we got up early and finished some house cleaning and are now worn out before they get here.

Glad you didn't keep them alive first before the bbq GMS; that would have been cruel. lol

Lots of joy when the Grandchildren come out.My Grand Daughter Evangeline is coming to visit us tonight and will probably stay until Sunday evening.

We always have lots of fun.Taking walks and going to Hagar park.Hopefully it's nice enough for that this weekend.
We take one of our Grand kids every other Saturday.

It was a nice day, we had a lot of fun. There was about 5 years that she didn't speak to me then two years ago she changed and saw things differently. that's what makes days like this particularly important.

Heh, my grandkids used to love to come over all the time to see Nana and Poppy. Now they are older and prefer to spend time with their friends. We see them at holidays and other family get-togethers, but usually just text an fb with each other.

My youngest daughter is in college, my son is a senior in high school. I see my daughter's FB posts all the time and we pretty much keep in touch. My son isn't online and I don't see him much. Some of what my daughter leaves on FB I'd rather not see. She's at the age where she thinks it's cool to use as much profanity as possible in one sentence and she now has a boy friend. I'm going to have to show the boy my mummified body parts collection to get him to take this seriously.

Yeah kids grow up and well they have their friends to hang with and stuff.I understand that.But rest assured when they have children they will drop them off... :lol
