thanx. I think I will keep our temp for now. Right now it is 70 and that is hot enough for me. especially if there is a lot of humidity.

Well talking about temperatures...lol I live in the sub tropical area of Queensland where the temperature rarely drops below about 17-18C in Winter..Probably around 60 Farenheit....and we consider that cold....yesterday it was down so low we were waiting for snow to fall....13 degrees...nobody here has winter clothing to protect us from that icy wind and rain...none of the houses here have fireplaces and few have heaters.

Thanks for posting this fun tutorial! the top layer is the regular tutorial using the wind distort wind setting, then I did a 3-D blocky effect and did the wind distort with the blast setting on that layer. sort of gives it an icicle look, lol. The reflection isn't to my liking, I can never seem to get it just like I envision it!

2-ton, I think your freeze is very nice. It sure looks like a frozen sculptured block. You reflection is nice too. I was trying to figure a way to make some ripples across in the reflection but none of the thingys I tried looked very good....

Molly, I snatched your icy image and used Displacement Water Reflection Tutorial by mahvin on it with a few small modifications.

O: All you needed for the iceberg is to add some additional sides (like a pyramid) and it would have been one good iceberg.

I prefer it cooler than most people. I like it around 40F. i'm one of those weirdos that like camping in the single digit weather. I could easily live in Alaska. As long as they had broadband of course.

Brrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!! I don't like it cold or hot. Give me a range of temps between 60 - 80 and I'm perfectly happy.

Decided to play some more....tried the tut with a vector brush image.

I really like your result, 2-ton. Mine was too off-kiltered and blue.

I used a combo of blast as well as wind to get the 'icicles'. I don't have plasti-wrap filter on this computer, but I think it would have made it look 'icier'.

On mine i added some cubism before the wind, and gave it a little more texture.
