Teapot - thanks for reminding me about that tut, I had forgotten all about it. So I have just looked quickly through the thread postings and the tut itself. Given all my current wooden mandalas are BRL based, then yes the tut should give you a solid foundation to work from. I will also have a look through my recent wooden e-maps and post any I think may be useful. Have fun!

Continuing the wood theme with two variations - one polished wood and one rough wood.

Another change of pace - one an indigenous symbols/dots image and the other from good old Ofnuts path tools.

I'm sure you might be aware of my enjoyment of mandalas and your mandala creations are no exception.
Thanks OMG!

Wallace and level_0 - thank you; I'm absolutely addicted to mandalas, especially given the numerous, different ways Gimp provides to create them. Here is a combination of path blend, symmetry and whirl and pinch using a custom gradient.

Erisian - very nice, but it seems your mandala has gone to metal. Hopefully not your music too :hehe

Given that Symmetry Painting now seems to work OK with custom brushes, I have just posted a demo tutorial covering both at viewtopic.php?f=23&t=18524

Now, back to polished wood with the first being a 2 for 1 mandala.

Thought I had better post an example outcome of what I espoused in the demo/tutorial I posted earlier. Two different custom brushes, one from the demo/tut and some duplication/flipping of layers.
