Highlighting Script Rel4 (for 2.6 2.8 and 2.10)

I've been out of circulation for a while so could someone tell me what the last version of gimp 2.8 was prior to 2.10 being released

A reminder, Gimp 2.10 has great on canvas tools, you can see the effect as it is adjusted. It will be yours, not something that has been set into a script. A script might be convenient but please experiment a little.

This error is same as I got in Samj's 2-10-21 using another script, I solved by downloading portable again from https://samjcreations.blogspot.com/
