Great improvement OMG.
This should be your new area of interest IMO, and deserves a new specific thread.

Ella Louise - thank you too and yes it was made from scratch. Obviously though still some learning to obtain and apply ;)

EDIT - had a quick try to improve the hair and sharpen the image ... never stop learning :hehe

Then it's amazing how well you made it.
And I agree with Diego, big improvement :kpix

Diego - thank you; new portraits thread started as per your recommendation. Hopefully others will contribute too.

Ella - again thank you; I appreciate your kind words.

Not all output is portrait in nature so here is some art deco; a large wall decoration/insert with see through (glass) at the top.

Pat - thank you so much. You know I love playing with Gimp, derive much pleasure from it and it is a continual learning process. You might have seen that I am having a go at portraits right now - it is turning our to be something of a bumpy ride :hehe

By the way when are we going to see some more of your works?

It's 6 months after the fires, there has been rain and in a bush clearing by the creek, there is regrowth and renewal amongst the ash covered forest floor.

Sympathy to all those currently affected by forest fires in the USA.

That is beautiful OMG. You have so many different styles. Your forest pic looks like it would be a great theme for a music video.

Erisian - thank you; I appreciate your kind comments. Different styles, different topics hence the thread title :)

Life can be a challenge at times, with the dice rolling against you and with confusion and indecision rife. You are 'stumped' as to the correct course of action and/or direction to take.

I like your recent work OMG. I liked the last one and your comment 'confusion and indecision rife'. That sums it up for me. :bigthup

Tas_mania - thanks for your kind comments; the older one gets, the more bewildering life becomes :hehe

I like what Diego is currently doing with photos (not my normal forte) so, using a pic from Felipe Jaasiel from Pexels, I have had a play with filters/plug-ins to see what I could produce.

I had a request for some brush dynamics, which I use - 'fade to fade'. ZIP file below contains the relevant '.dyn' file.
