In these strange, modern times of quarantine/isolation, I have used my favourite music to accompany my Gimping. I love the Irish contribution to modern music and in particular a couple of songs from my favourites, Clannad/Moya Brennan (irish) and Loreena Mckennit (Canadian) have stuck in my mind.

I have been lucky enough to see these artists live in Sydney and so I thought I would share with you live versions of these songs from YouTube.

Beautiful music OMG.
I've also had the chance to see Clannad live back in the mid 70s.
They toured around together with other musicians as "Irish Folk Festival".

If you dig the "new-age-with-celtic-origins" kind, try Denez Prigent.

Bagpipe music (solo or pipe bands) is what I use at work to isolate myself from noisy colleagues when I code.

I often find myself gimping in a psychic vacuum listening the Canadian Voivod.
I just can't grow bored of their mid-late 1980s albums Killing Technology, Dimension Hatröss & Nothingface.
Another thing I like about them a lot, is the unique sci-fi styled cover and interior art of the albums, that is all designed by the drummer.

And a dozen of other long-lived metal bands of course.
Bach, Händel and Vivaldi were true masters, but for me classical works better at nighttime hours and holidays.

AC/DC on full blast so the neighbors can hear it, too. I get cranky often so I'll toss on my Led Zeppelin vinyls and turn the stereo up high enough to shake the pictures on the wall. This way I can't hear the wife yell at me. So she comes upstairs and stares holes through me. My kids love my old records, then at times I hear them laughing and giggling, and I'll ask "what's up?" to which they'll show me Molly Hatchet, Grateful Dead, KISS, or Jimmi Hendrix album covers. Oh, and Grease. Don't ask. I even have a 45 single of John Travolta singing "Shall I let her in?" No clue where it came from. Most of my 45s are 1960's rock head banging stuff, and somehow I managed to inherit a few Elvis tunes. But my most favorite album to listen to is Eric Clapton's Slowhand album.

That is really nice music OMG. I have watched that movie several times and now I may just watch it again!
What do I listen to? Depends what mood I'm in. Could be 50's - 60's music, (surprised by how much 50's I know). Bee Gees were my Favorite of the 70's and I also listen to Praise & Worship.

:rofl Funny vision, like in teenage years when you got grounded or parents disallowed something.

Mahvin - AC/DC ... top notch Aussie rock!

In my search for Celtic entertainment during isolation, I came across this, the birth of Riverdance in 1994 at the Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin. It was just interval entertainment, but it stole the show.

EDIT - yes I will have to learn how to EMBED these videos
EDIT2 - Sallyanne fixed it up for me, thanks. Lesson learned.

I have Sirius XM radio; recently they gave out, as part of membership, use of their online radio so I added it to my Roku. Listen to Spa since I like instrumental jazz and newage music. You can get a continuous updated list of played songs at link below (no need to be a member) and can even play the tunes via other links/means individually. :)
