Well I grabbed my Camera today and decided to almost fall in the pond getting on of these but I got it anyway. without swimming.

Thoughts?

Yes, it marked in ithe picture (EXIF data). Pretty cool.

The top series would be better if, for the same frame, you step back and zoom more. The longer focal length will reduce your depth of field and you'll get a more blurred background. With time you'll learn to select your background (another advantage of zooming is that the background will come from a rather narrow area behind the subject, so moving the camera a bit will let you pick the more adequate background).

Thanks for the Tip Ofnuts! This was my first time ever taking pics like that, I have some crappy LQ ones, I would go test it out, but it's started raining :/
I grabbed a few more though while the power was out a minute ago

I'm so glad you didn't fall in. Not good for you or for your camera.

Those are nice pictures. I love the water drops on the purple flower and the water lily is so pretty.

Thanks O if only I knew the names of the other thingy, all I know is it's some sort of Vine and thats it's first flower.
We had Orchids, but there dead right now :/ I would love to photo some of those.

Wondering if it could be clematis. You could probably compare the leaves with the ones in the picture link below.

I like the pictures you've taken (I'm a fan of water drops on flowers), but I wonder why you have presented to us 4 very nearly identical pictures of the water lilies.

Can I suggest you try a range of alternatives - try out different angles etc to see which you prefer.

I got lazy, and just didn't pick out favs of those ones took X D, first time, and well, next time I'll only upload favs of each thing
