At first I thought it was the planet Saturn, but now that you mention teapot, level_0, I can see it to be that as well. lol

I have never been able to see anything in these, and I have really tried. Even after being shown what I should see, I can never find it. My eyes must not work in the manner needed (or the brain for that matter).

1. Look on the middle part of the image
2. try to relax your eyes. (don't focus so hard)
3. Cross them just a little if necessary.

Yes, I have read how to do it several times. I believe that many of us lack the ability to converge our eyes in that manner and Will never be able to do it. I might try to research that a bit and see if there is any info.

Image version. I'll give this another try later, made the original too small but if you can see it you should be able to read it.

The optimal viewing distance of my color stereograms is set to around 50cm.

If you can't see a stereogram you can reveal it this way, but it will be ugly 2D not 3D like cross-eyed.
Download the image. Duplicate layer, set the upper layer to difference and start moving it horizontally in 1px steps.
At some point (depends on the used settings) it will be revealed.

You don't want to converge. In fact its just the opposite, each eye stares straight ahead instead of squinting as we usually do when something is close.

I once had to see an orthoptist, and she made me play with such pictures to rest my eyes. I now have a bunch of synthetic ones I made with Gimp that I use at work when my eyes need to take a nap:



PS: if your desktop backrgound is a seamless repeating pattern, you can sometimes see your windows float over it...

That's a random spots optical illusion.
@Pat625, like ofnuts said you don't converge your eyes, no forcing of whatsoever is needed.
You're watching normally through the actual image, into the distance.
Like looking a tree in your front yard through window. The stereogram appears on he window surface.
