These are getting just better and better...Ella's Vlaeykensgang is beautiful.
Only feedback I can think of is how the dissolve of the frame stands out bit too much in some of the outcomes.
But I didn't have yet chance to test the new version and play with layers, will try it tomorrow.

Old buildings, streets views, castles and similar themes seem to work well as this style was seen in older prints.
The ArtLine effect is spot on in Issa's #109 post, great!

"Dissolve" mode has always been controversial.
I'm probably one of the few Gimpers who like it, and that's the (personal) reason why it is there; very easy for the user to switch to "Normal" (it's the last layer).
Depending on the paper colour sometimes it's also very useful to reduce the saturation on the frame layer.
For my personal use I prepared a slightly different preset of the filter; here it is for someone who likes to try.

Thanks Diego your constant investigation to improve your filters is really admirable.
I haven't tested your last one as I like the previous one a lot.
I did a test/play of this artline effect in 100 post and I liked the result, too. I saw another more possibility.
So, I did another playing and testing those possibilities.

Issabella, you really know how to highlight the filters of dinasset.
I tried with several images the tuto but I gave up because my results were ugly.

Level, just this effect works better on architecture, bridges, houses as Nidhogg commented. No all kinds of photos work well.
No it's nice on flowers, or leaves, forest and pics like that, but it's great on very simple ones, for instance streets and castles come well to this effect.
While, I have discovered how nice the results are letting processed layer visible. Play a bit with the results.
