Please note that the top layer name maintains the references to the options selected to run the filter, like for the parameters of a G'mic filter.
In this case the first outcome used options 2,2,0,2,2,1 while the second outcome used options 2,1,1,0,2,2

If you save the outcomes using the top layer description, later on you will be able to "recall" which parameters have that effect

Dinasset- i hope i was not pushy or rude about it - just a bit excited and got ahead of you

here is my results and the original photo i took a few years back
The original image is actually pretty bad - its fuzzy / blurry - but looks much better after the MG

Thank you again for all the work you and Issabella put into all this - and the feedback from others

I got good results - but i just wanted to report the errors i got from GIMP
- maybe its helpful
the first one is the troubling me but it might be a normal message
.. the second and third are normal - mainly because they can take some time

Don't worry.
I'm used to send information messages in my filters:
- when the user waits for a long time (2nd and 3rd)
- when there is a useful information for the user (1st informs about the parameters used)

Issabella - i like yours too - the first one above (in 509)
- reminds my of a garden park near me , i will have to look for those pictures

The thing that i found interesting we that the photos i took (long long ago) which
i used in posts 503 / 508 were actually blurry - you can see it in 503 where I have
the original. But using MG the result actually came out quite well
