Hello, and thank you to all for previous help. I have found some scripts and python in text format. How do I make them .scm or .py to put in the proper folder. I read something about using note pad. I tried this and it did not work with a cartoon script, so I must be saving it wrong. I also have noticed a lot of scripts and pythons on this page. I enjoy making logos, so if anyone wants to share a text style script or python fu. , or link on this forum, please do so, and thank you in advance.

.py or .scm files are plain text. So normally you just name the files correctly, no need to use an editor.

Python is sensitive to tabs/spaces and may not function if these files are edited incorrectly.
