I don't know what the scrolling problem was.

Yes, Linux distros can be a bit strange. :hehe

I think each bug fix by the Gimp developers is checked by the Fedora developers before allowing the update to be placed in the repositories.

I've never noticed any scrolling problems but here are the release notes for 2.6.9.4.

Looks like the .4 update was specific to Linux..

Quote:
This update removes the barely used gimp-plugin-mgr script in both gimp and xsane. The xsane-gimp package places the plugin binary now directly into the GIMP plugin directory instead of symlinking it.

Does Fedora do that too? One of the most annoying things about Debian is how their maintainers "backport" fixes rather than provide the latest release.

That happens quite frequently in Fedora too.

Works fine in this release. It may have been fixed earlier in 2.6.9-2..

Hope you don't mind if I'll wait a few days. My gimp GAP install already seems to have dissapeared when reverting back so I want to make sure that this release is ok. :)

Ok, now I'm confused, which is the later version, 2.6.10 or 2.7? And is 2.6.10 worth the download considering i'm still using 2.6.8?

2.6.10 is the last stable version, and the suggested one

2.7.1 is a "beta" version( so may have incomplete feature and is still to debug)
