I decided to take the rest of the day off and rest. While I was doing it I got some pics ready to post that I had meant to do earlier. We're keeping 4, the rest go to the pet store Monday. It will be hard to do with this bunch. On an unrelated and aggravating note. I somehow deleted a folder with 4 gig worth of pics, some were irreplaceable. I have a practice of getting enough pics in a folder to fill a dvd then burning them, these were almost enough for a disk. Makes me want to scream.

Ohhh, they are all beautiful! When I took our dog in to be shaved, I stopped by the rats and ferrets and thought of your bunch!
And you should be able to recover you pics, there are all sorts of programs to find lost and deleted files...not that I can think of the name of any of them, but I know that on a photography forum they used to talk about recovering files from the hard drive delete folders.

Back on topic, my cat Tinker (the "S" is silent) really likes the photos of your pets (said something which I can only guess translates as "Mmm, tasteee..." or somesuch).

Although I have 40+ rats at the moment I would protest being called willard or ben vigorously. Those two movies gave rats a bad name that they will never recover from. I prefer another name given me... the rat whisperer. And they're not much on attacking except cream cheese or whipped cream. They're more into lounging and playing.

be careful or you'll fall in love with them. i used to be a dog person but no longer. i have recuva running as we speak, hopefully recovering some or most of what i lost. What really bothers me is how it happened.

Our rat (this is waaaay back when I was a kid) loved butter! We used to sneak him onto the table to eat off of our plates and he always ran to the butter first. My mom would just roll her eyes, she never really got mad, she liked all animals.

yes, they're junk food addicts and all of them have sweet a tooth (sweet teeth?) Some things are fatal to them, like peanut butter. the old wives tale about them exploding if they drink pepsi is nonsense but it will kill them because they can't burp. some things are medically good for them, like semisweet chocolate. it helps with respiratory problems.

Rats can not burp!... learn something new every day.

Rats like it too, but it gums up their mouth and they gag on it. We almost lost one once because of it. It seems like every animal has their deadly foods, for parrots it's avocado, it's deadly to them, for hedgehogs you can't use shampoo made from the ti plant, deadly. Teflon is fatal to parrots. I read an article once where a woman got called to the phone and left a pan on the stove. it started to smoke and killed 4 of her parrots, a total of $1500 worth of birds. The list goes on and on but there are a few foods that are toxic to rats.
