Don't know what everyone is complaining about...
I'm near the end of a very, very long wire...

It's supposed to be a 1.5M connection (1 down, 0.5 up). I noticed an increase in download speed a couple of months ago. Looks like I lost a little upload speed in the process, but I'm not going to complain.

It sure beats dial-up.

I can't imaging having internet faster than this, I've had it like this so long. It feels fast... :P

What's up with a 29 mb/s download? That kind of connection should be able to read your mind or tell you about your future. Everyone's future.

I have your download speed Willy, but I have Amanda's upload speed (very close anyway) which sucks. I had issues with my old cablemodem so around 3 weeks ago I had Charter change it and they gave me a Cisco 3010 and I it gave me download speeds 10 times faster then my old modem (knew if was my old modem giving me the problems; lol). The upload speeds been atrocious though. Looking at Charter's main site, even their specs stink, but I should at least have 2Mb/s upload but pretty much getting less then 400kb/s (that's bits not bytes but most here know that) which stinks on ice since when I want to share a file, I have to upload it. Not sure what the issue is, but, when my PC is on, the link light blinks like there's no tomorrow (thought it should be a solid on) at the Cable modem end. Weird stuff. None of the documentation that I have gives me the default user/password for the modem either nor have I been able to find the right one online. I use to have some control by logging on to my old modem but the only thing I can get with my new modem is a status page. Oh well. Getting my updates at rocket speed and downloading large files has been a blessing though so I can't really complain too much. lol

:)

This thing is nowhere close to accurate. Ran it ten times and it never got close.

I have a business class cable connection. Download speeds (based upon actual downloads such as daily site backup) are always between 500Mb/s and 1.5Gb/s. Upload speeds are always between 200Mb/s and 500Mb/s. Maybe it only works on residential connections.

Lucky dog; you got a symmetric ISP. Wish they would give us symmetric (those ISP cheapskates here don't want us to upload anything; hate them; hate them all; lol). :)
