I always feel self-concious about the introduction part... My name is Meg, I am from the sunny Southeast US, and I am fairly new to Gimp. Right now, I am doing more tutorials than anything to learn how Gimp works while building up my creative muscle. I love the tutorials and seeing how creative others are! I wanted to thank Jolie for her youtube channel directing me here. (Your tutorials are awesome!) Anyway, I guess that's about it. Thanks!

This is a really good, friendly forum with good people. I hope you like it here. We also have a lot of talented people (myself not included) and a lot of Gimp knowledge and experience ranging from new folks to veterans.
Regarding gimp tutorials, if you haven't done so already you might try looking for GIMP TRICKS on youtube. Those are excellent tutorials made by one of our distinguished members. I would also suggest searching for malgalin on youtube, his are also excellent.
