Ok i cannot upload xcf or zip files and apparently i have broken rule 16
Souceforge has long been a site for suspicious downloads and malware add ons.

Until further notice Sourceforge links will not be allowed. Posting links to Sourceforge will result in warnings and possibly being banned from Gimp Chat website if you repeat the offense. This does not pertain to links already added to posts. We will systematically go through those and remove them if necessary.

So looks like i will not be uploading any more Custom Fonts to Gimp Chat or linking them here.
I apologize for breaking the rules here. Although i can guarantee no malware in my downloads i will no longer be sharing my Free Custom Fonts here.

I thought as long as you're not dealing with executables then you're okay.
Like if you shared a .py file and it gets executed then the risk is there.
if it's .xcf then GIMP opens it it's not like GIMP is going to execute commands from .xcf files its' just data. am I wrong?

The rule does not state a file type only linking files with a sourceforge url.
I will have to wait for a Mod to let me know but until then i will post no links until further notice. Sorry.

If they give me the go ahead i will begin reposting my fonts. Actually if they just change my perms to allow zip or xcf file uploads that would be grand. But as of yet i cannot upload either to Gimp Chats repository.

I do not know why.

I am sure Skinnyhouse's plug-in works great but that is not my problem with uploading. I am not allowed (for some strange reason), to upload certain extensions. rar, zip, 7zip, nor Gimps native workspace files XCF.
Has to be in my honest opinion something to do with user permissions. This s why i chose to just link them and avoid the problem. But now i was made aware of the sourceforge link rule. Possibly i could just upload them somewhere else and link them. I don't know.

Thank you for the concern though. I'm sure it will work itself out.

Can it be that you have uploaded so many files here, that the space available for your account is just full?

I think that the upload limits were created when the forum was created some 15 years back.
And today's files are much larger than then. So maybe the limits should be overworked.

I think quietreader might be dead on right about this space allowed per user issue.
