Does anyone have a link to the QT version of Dinasset's Mosiac Stained Glass filter?

This is the "non standard" pattern it uses..

I've tried both sets of filters and gimp 2.10.10 just isn't reading them but on the upside, I still have Diego's other filters like impasto look, enhanceskin, colourcolour, Lines look, and draw random drops. I have them in my plugins folder in case you're wondering.

Dear Friends in the Distance, I'm using GIMP 2.10.10 on Windows 10. I've often had issues running many of Dinasset's Python scripts. I _believe_ but I certainly don't know for sure, that the problem might be that the Python initializing string:

#!/usr/bin/env python

does not appear as the first line in the script, but only after an explanatory comment block above the main script.

In both of the above examples, neither showed up in the menus until I cut the initializing string and pasted it at the top of the script file. Both versions then showed up in the menus and the QT210 version worked fine. [I also downloaded the DopeCrystals04seamless.jpg and put it in the patterns folder.] For whatever reason, the first version [in Wallace's post] gives the following error: "File "C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\- TRIAGE\DIEGO_Mosaic_Stained_Glass.py", line 567, in Mosaic_Stained_Glass

error: procedure not found"." ["TRIAGE" is my try-it-and-see-if-it-works folder for new scripts.]

I don't know whether my experience with the "#!/usr/bin/env python" line has been the result of a problem with GIMP or scripting or Python or Windows 10 or something else. [A deep echoing voice in my head says, "No, Neurolurker, it's only a problem for you ... "] From the other users in the many previous messages about Dinasset's fantastic scripts, it was very clear that the plugins worked for them without issues, and so far as I recall, no other user mentioned it.

The original version posted by Wallace can't work, because it makes use of the old G'MIC interface.
If the QT version doesn't work, try neurolurkes's suggestion or try the attached file, from which I removed the initial comments.


Other people had the same problem (not me and many other I know).

Could it be that you don't have the pattern? If you place that in the pattern folder, it works

Does it work with GIMP in English?

The culprit is this
"FG to BG (Hardedge)" [Forground to Background]

In languages other than English the wordings and their abbreviation might be different and the script thus does not know what to do. Also "Hardedge" might be called differently in other languages.
Therefore switching to English language might solve the problem.

I have been trying real hard to switch to english, i figured it out. Only that I don't know how to change to ENG in GIMP

Picture looks horrifying its all red and yellow dotted. maybe I did something wrong?

This is a very nice filter. I did get an error running it in Windows at first, but i removed the Alpha Channel and it worked great.
