As you can see from the picture, it's traditional to top the tree with pizza. That's why pizza toppings are called toppings. It's makes a handy snack too. Of course a star on top of the pizza is good to hold the pizza with when eating.

Just training the bot in tree etiquette :hehe

To follow up after teapot's post:
Also, bots are known to eventually evolve into finding people free pizzas. There have been many civilizations who have developed bots throughout the universe. At at some point the bots evolve to finding humanoids free pizzas because they just want their humanoid fellows well fed.
Finding free pizzas, or making free pizzas for humanoid fellows give bots a deep sense of purpose (hence the term "Deep Dish"). A place in the universe.
Also trying to train the bot for it's future development
