I wanted to know if there is a way to install G'MIC 3.5.3 in GIMP 3.0.2 in Mac and linux ?
or is it available only for Windows ?

I, too, am in search for a GMIC version for Linux Mint 21 (Ubuntu Jammy) for a GIMP 3.0.2 from Panda Jim PPA.
Nothing there on gmic.eu

I checked gmic.eu and looks like they added the zipfile for Linux Ubuntu 25.04 Plucky and Debian 13 Trixie
hope they add the one you need soon!

David does not add the plugin unless the version of Gimp is the default for the particular distro. ( so a PPA is no good for him)

I had some problem with the latest gmic 3.5.3 code / PandaJim dev So I went back to gmic_gimp_qt 3.5.0 and that compiles in a Mint 21 VM Better than nothing:

About 5.5 MB zipped, unzip and put the whole gmic_gimp_qt folder in your Gimp 3 user plugins folder

Appreciated the post Rich. I am new to Gimp and GimpChat but stumbled across this thread and hoped it would solve my difficulties installing GMIC in Gimp. I downloaded your folder and its included gmic-gimp-qt file. The folder was placed in my user Library/Application Support/Gimp/plug-ins folder. Gimp was started, but GMIC does not appear in the Filter menu.

A plugin I installed yesterday, new layer from selection, in the same location does show up in the Layer menu.

I am running Sequoia 15.4.1 on a new MacBook M4 Pro. Gimp is version 3.02

Welcome any advice you might have.
