Image won't open in Rawtherapee. I get a blanc page.

GIMP Version: 3.0.4
Operating System: Mac OS
GIMP Experience: New User

Hello,

I'm a long time Photoshop user but I would love to get away from Adobe, so I've downloaded GIMP 3.0.4 to give it a try. Problem is it won't open raw files from the Canon R5 mark II.

When I import a file into GIMP, Rawtherapee opens but all I get in there is a blanc file. How do I make the image appear?

So, I downloaded the latest version of Rawtherapee and the images now show up, except when I click on them they turn a dark deep purple.

Nobody?

I tried several things to fix the issue but none worked. Searching online I found many other reports of the same issue. It seems to be an Apple problem, not sure.

I also tried Darktable but that app says the files aren't supported, which is weird.

Are there any other raw converters out there I could try as a GIMP plugin?

Hi Levina,
I know of 3 options for RAW converters that can work with GIMP.

Darktable, probably the best option.
RawTherapee, similarly to Darktable.
And UFRaw, it's older with limited mac support.

Seems that you've already attempted using Darktable.
Perhaps these others might work.
