I thought I saw this somewhere else before but didn't want to play before.
I have just recently download samj's 3.0.4 portable clang and saw last night that I have a whole pile of new GEGL filters in it. So, I went through them all, had a play with the 2nd last one (vapour wave) and did this.

There are 29 of them under AI GEGL at the bottom of filters.
Another thing I didn't see before was Fun under rendering. There is 25 things in there.

I've been using the portable versions of samj for years, but I've never been able to use the Gimp_3.0.4_Portable_clang version from May 23, 2025, or the one from May 25, 2025. The Gimp_3.0.2_Portable_clang version works, but I rarely use it because I prefer the 2.10.xx versions.
After reading your thread, I thought I'd try again, but there's still a bug. :cry

I know a few people in here use her versions. I think I did once before.
Anyway hope when then higher version 3.2 stable comes out that any bugs will be gone for you. Have you mentioned this to
samj in the OS you use? It may be that she can fix it.

I went back to check if there were any comments about this version on Samj's website, and indeed, Dinasset had posted Mareroq's solution (thank you both!). This solution will help other people:

did another one . Made some grass in GMIC and used that for the landscape. Couldn't figure out how to shine the sun over it though.

Thanks to all the stuff in gimp now, we dont even have to be artists - we can still sort of create.

This time I used GMIC to create the woods then render fun in gimp to put the heavenly rays on it
With the woods the ??? adds a cupid
