Folks another fake Hotmail spam letter is being circulated.
Be sure and delete any emails you receive that ask for any personal information.
Here is what they usually look like.

Just a heads up in case you get one. :)
Just delete it, do not click on show contact or add to contacts.
Just delete the email.

Thanks.

I got the same email. I forwarded it to [email protected]

Instead of deleting it, mark it as junk/spam. That way you will not receive any more email from that sender.

That is a good idea too, but most Microsoft experts will tell you to just delete the email. :)
I have had issues with junk mail getting through even though i have swept it.
I really do not trust the junk or spam folders.I just get rid of it myself.
Guess you just can not get passed the fact that ID thieves can not be stopped.Just thwarted.

on my pc with xp, I mark as spam so that addy is on the do not allow list. I haven't gotten nearly the amount of these phishing emails as I did years ago, I guess email providers have been doing better in blocking spam...still there is always a few that slip through.

I wonder what kind of Internet Providers you use.
Don't they offer email accounts of their own?
I have 5 mail accounts with mine for different contacts.
One of those is designated to receive spam only.
Once in a while I get something in there.
Sometimes it's not spam but I can then move it to one of the regular boxes and mark it "not spam".
Gerard.
