In the middle of last year I posted that my body was 'broken' and was not supporting my posting to the forum. Well, I had six months of excellent medical treatment and have progressively overcome what was a difficult time, both for my health and me personally.

I have been contributing for a while to Issabella's 'Landscapes and Shapes' thread, but now is the right time for this old guy to revert to his OMG threads and recommence posting to them. Thanks again to all my Gimp friends (especially Issa and Ella) for the terrific support given to me in this period.

So here goes. A fantasy portrait denoting 'War and Peace', with the later content stemming from my hippie days.

I like that one OMG but I notice she has blue eyes :)

I had some spare time so modified your portrait a bit. Harder than I thought with different color profiles and even monitor type.

@Tas - you are right, I need to lift my game on the final result after all the preliminary effort. You are also right about different monitors. Anyway, I made a few changes.

That's good OMG. Portraits like this are very hard to do. I've watched Anh Do doing them and they are impressionist.

I admire your portraits, OMG. So many details and aspects to be able to do them, and you always get very good results. :clap

That's really well done, OMG.
The light and shadow on her face give it depth. The curly hair turned out great, too.
Your portraits just keep getting better and better :coolthup

I don't think I quite 'nailed' this one, but anyway, here is my portrait of a youngish Annie Lennox in the 1980s, when she was exploring her androgynous self.
