Excellent Work, MareroQ, I installed in my portable gimp 3.20. It works.

Hi Lionn45

Thank you for testing and feedback.
Please note, however, that I've only tested 50% of the filters.
(So, there will be some filters that will throw an error or do nothing during execution.)
When the author returns to the program after the break, I think he'll fix a few issues:
- no authors listed in the Testing category,
- a stolen underscore in the procedure name,
- verify the functionality of all filters (if this can be done automatically),
- as promised, make the filters available for various platforms,
- fix the animation filters (by saving frames to disk rather than as new layers—because that's not possible).

Animation example using the samj filter:

After updating to the newest Gimp.org release Gimp-3.2.2, i have discovered you retain the gmic-gegl dlls but the bin dlls are removed and must be reinstalled. Don't know if this same happens on uninstall and then reinstall of the newer version releases because i usually just run the installer on update. I have always assumed the uninstaller only removed the files it originally installed, guess i was mistaken.

If you wish i can package all the bin and lib files with the license, and upload them to gimp packagers. This is an older site started by myself, and PC (fotocomics, onkelhatti, and myself wacmaster).
https://sourceforge.net/projects/gimp-packagers/

Then just attach a link here.

are my plugins ok? :gaah

Its always nerve wracking. Keep in mind they NEVER INTENDED GEGL plugins. that's why this happens. Its a bootleg feature and me using 3.0.5 forever is just a peace of mind cope strategy.

Hi Rod.

Thank You very much for Your kind offer. :hi5
I wanted to ask you about this option, but only after verifying all the filters (and I don't have time for that at the moment).
It's no secret that too many Gegl filters significantly slow down the startup of GIMP 3.2. :hehe

I thought it stopped doing this. FlatScrew said the problem was not present in 3.0.8

In my opinion, GIMP's startup time depends not on the type of Gimp filters, but on their quantity.
Up to ~200 filters, the delay is practically unnoticeable.
With ~1000 filters, the delay (at least on my slow computer) is about 20 seconds.

All your filters seem to run fine in Gimp-3.2.2 Beaver. :)

I finally tested all the gmic-gegl filters.
Of the 1121 filters, 847 remain, or ~76%.
It's likely that some filters can still be 'fixed'.
I've updated the attachments from post #39 to #41.
It will likely be possible to download the filters in one large file if Rod decides to do so.

And two more examples that break some stereotypes:

1. The GEGL filter can save image in SVG format:

2. Interactive filters from G'MIC can work well in GEGL (unfortunately, not many do at the moment):

OK i uploaded the NEWLY posted GMIC-GEGL files to Gimp Pacakagers. All 6 zipped folders and the zipped bin folder. Also included is a README.txt file with GPL license info, and a link back to this thread for install and other instructions.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/gimp-p ... p/download

Total size is 35.4 MB.

Anything you want to change MareroQ?

Hi Rod.

Thank You so much. :hi5

You did it very well and quickly. :yes

A completely irrelevant note: I thought you were only going to make one of the six packages.

Hi MareroQ. You are very welcome. :hi5
I did indeed create 1 zip file with all the other compressed files within it. If that is what you meant.

I need to add an important note for Gimp-2.10 users.
Because the generator is designed and tested for Gimp 3, unfortunately, many gmic-gegl filters will not work properly in Gimp-2.10 (and should be installed locally, removing any faulty or unusable ones).

Considering the matter in general, installing gmic-gegl filters in Gimp-2.10 does not make much sense because this filter is about replacing G'MIC filters with NDE filters (which Gimp 2.10 does not support). :ninja
