I was going to post this at the gimp repository forum -- there is a related thread there -- but I never posted a pic there and, quite frankly, couldn't figure out how to attach a file to the comment, haha. But here it. It's a little rough in places, dimpled here and there, but I am pleased with the end result.

You can :)

Only hitch is that the shadows on "L.A." and "Life" have been done before rotating them so they aren't consistent with the rest.

Wow Nixine; fantastic. Anyway, to post at the Registry, you have to use HTML tags (not BBC code like here). Sad for sure. Flickr requires the same thing if you don't use a Flickr image. Below's a sample code (some marbles that I created for another forum). :)

<a target='_blank' title='ImageShack - Image And Video Hosting' href='http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/855/outline.png/'><img src='http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/4490/outline.png' border='0'/></a>

:)

You have to use actual HTML markup for posting an image link there Nixnine. :)

That is very nice nixnine.
That frame is so nice and shiny, it looks like you should be able to see your face in it, like a mirror.

Thanks for the input everyone. I've been a little reluctant to post anything after seeing all the quality work here. But hey, if it's fun to do and you like it, I guess it's okay to post regardless. Anywho.

@2-ton: I didn't use any tutorial. I was inspired, though, by Lyle and Mahvin's input in the Registry thread and simply played with the idea. And it was fun.

@ofnuts: Thanks for the shadowing tip. Hadn't considered how the rotate would offset the image. Good catch, good eye.

As for image hosting, I have been hesitant to leave my work "OUT THERE" but maybe will have to reconsider. Going to look into flickr and imageshack see which one I like better.

Thanks,
Nixnine

I use Imageshacks uploader program. You can download it free.So easy to upload any image you want.
Once you upload the image the up-loader program gives you all the links you need to post the image properly in most forms.
Except i noticed GIF animations do not work for me.I do not know why.

I use TinyPic Free Imaging and Hosting, which is also very good. I quit using PhotoBucket 3 yrs ago and have been using this one ever since. It does do GIF with no Probs.
