The idea is simple.
You can donate one single brush stroke at a time. It gets saved to database.
Then the generate surprise art just takes random strokes from the pool and paints them randomly.

I spent a little too much time on this today.

There's option to painted donated strokes with random colors or one color.

Added option to fade stroke from solid color to a set percentage of transparency.

And then I was able to generate the below pattern which I am using on a mock-up shirt shown below:

Pretty cool! I saw this idea once for a Johny Cash tribute on youtube. Instead of paint strokes you donated a picture and the whole thing got animated.

Ok the generator has cool options now to select up to 8 colors to be used for strokes.
Here i used the first 5 default colors black,white and primary red,yellow,blue.

I really enjoy this new option with the generator now.

Later version has option to taper off strokes to a percentage of original brush width.
And painting tone difference so it looks like some sort of painted stroke.

Someone suggested I try to use Product Hunt to launch the webapp so I did it'll launch tonight at midnight

Added stroke credits section on the generate art page so that it lists for example
tim - 1 stroke
anonymous - 99 strokes
so people can see which or whose strokes were used in current piece.

Added option to choose wet surface so new strokes tries to smudge paint that's already there like it's wet

We have 255 brush strokes (doodles) now.
A feature has been added - hybrid strokes which 50% morph (halfway morph) of pairs of donated strokes.
So that's over 32 thousand hybrid strokes.

So if someone donates a brush stroke now it's not just one stroke it's 1 original + 255 hybrid ones.

Decided to turn the texture into a BRL compatible sphere and then used it to BRL the shark template I acquired a few years back.

And why not a droste before I do a few hours of chill; enjoying a rare 2 day weekend (at least for me).
