I have updated Dream Smoothing Enhanced v2 with substantial performance improvements, particularly when processing large, high-resolution images.
The filter now uses resolution-aware processing and parallel CPU execution, dramatically reducing rendering times while preserving the distinctive flowing, painterly character of Arto Huotari's original Dream Smoothing.
In testing, some operations now complete in approximately 2 seconds, although actual performance depends on image size, settings and hardware.
The updated filter is available in G'mic under Artistic - Dream Smoothing Enhanced v2.
I have also updated the README.md on my Github under /zarirmadon/gmic-filters/tree/main/dream-smoothing-enhanced-v2
Feedback very welcome!
