Hey folks, a friend of mine on Gimper forums is asking why he can not open files on his tool bar?
Seems his drag and drop is misbehaving, its a Mac setup btw.

Any help would be appreciated...thanks all! =)

I don't know how drag and drop images works on a Mac. When I want an image, I drag it down to the taskbar onto the toolbox, the toolbox pops up on the screen and I drag it onto the tools. It makes a square that kind of fits around the tools when it's time to drop the image.

Also, if all that shows on the taskbar is GNU Image Manipulat..., just drag it down on that and wait for the gimp windows to come up. It can be dragged over to the toolbox or in the image window (makes a square inside the window).

Why not send your friend a link to this thread and he can pop in here and take a look from time to time to see if anyone else has posted something helpful. :-D

I'll try to get some screen shots of what it looks like. When I click a picture I want to drag and drop the cursor turns into a right angle when I start to drag the image. I had to make the cursor icons so they aren't exactly like the ones that actually appear.

I believe he knows how to drag and drop, just not working in his Snow Leopard version for Mac. =\
Others have said they cant get it to work either, i was hoping one of you computer gurus could help him out.
=P

I will however direct him this way to check for answers.
Thanks again O!

I've heard that it doesn't work on a Mac. If I remember it right, then you could drag an image to the gimp short cut on your desktop and it opens. But I'm really not sure if I do remember it right. Especially, when I think about it and realise that Macs have those docks with their shortcuts.
