First of all ,I was able to do something right following the tutorial scottphotographics kindly posted.
Now,what i am trying to figure out is if it possible to have animated words coming out of a person's mouth (ie:Mother shouting"dinner is ready")
but showing the letters moving out of her mouth.
I tried to attach the animated file i made, but it won't let me

What is the extension on the file you want to attach? Is it a standard format like gif? There shouldn't be any trouble uploading or attaching files in here.

Rather than attaching, use the upload button Image. Follow this guide..

This is a gif file and it uploaded fine.

You can make words appear and disappear in an animation. This is a very simplistic one and I don't know quite how animated you want the words but it's a start to find out what you want.

Files are uploaded to gimpchat.com/files/ - You'll need to insert the image into a post using the image button: Image

ok,i see it now, thank You for showing it..anyways,that is the first animated "art" i managed to do without taking 3 days to do :yes
as for the words, what i am hoping to learn is how to get each word out by itself,
like a wave of letters, each popping separately

yes i did,Thank You:) but that's not what i have in mind..What i am trying to learn is how to get one word at a time out of a person's mouth .
Picture a person shouting" dinner is ready"
and what i need is to see "dinner" then "is" then "ready" coming out of the open mouth.

Is their mouth moving or is it just a static image with a speech bubble?

ccbarr has a couple of tutorials on rolling text, and I think even Saulgoode or possibly Rob A created a script that does the same.

That's what I'm trying to establish. I put that simplistic one up so you'd have something to compare with what you want. The words can be changed to one-at-a-time. Each word would need to be on a separate layer.

Here's a quicky re-do on the one I put up.

Also, I've attached an xcf file of it so that you can look at the layers and see how they are stacked.

I think I am not explaining it right.
the words coming out of the mouth should be moving away from the mouth
leaving room for the next word.
"dinner" comes out of the mouth, then slides or floats away from the mouth then "is" will come out and follows dinner then "ready" slides out and follows is
Final product will be "dinner is ready on one line, but away from the face.
Crossing my fingers, hoping I explained it better lol

Scrolling text, sort of like ccbarr's example found here: http://gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f=11& ... ext#p22321

But without all the graphics and 3D movement.

Gimptalk is down but you can view the cache of ccbarr's tutorial here:

Right, you can still mask the scrolling text without using a banner background.
