Why don't they make an autoloader wizard for the program that loads plug-ins etc without all of the convolutions you need to go through to get it done? It would be a big help to those of us who are not really computer literate plus make it faster and easier for everyone else. Thank you.
most of Linux distro have it already not only for gimp , in Ubuntu is called Synaptic :
you type the program name there, and you get the list of all the extra plugin ,script and addon available
you check what you wish and everything will be installed automatically
But that only in linux, in Windows download and install software is much more complex and require a bit of learning,and usually require more time and effort
This is not a limit of gimp but of a peculiar Operative System that is not sufficently user friendly, even if is pricey
