Wow, PhotoComix, all of them are outstanding. I particularly like the black and white one and the "stained glass look" ones.

i never used Rodilious much but now i think i found how to misuse
Lions take ages to upload maybe flickr has hiccup, and i know other ages to add the credit under the photo

But anyway the Lions are coming so be aware !! :wh

PC you may have stumbled upon how Redfield gets that glow look.Maybe you can spread the news to David?

With your smoothing techniques and Rodilius combined that may just be the ticket.
Particularly (Contrast Swiss Mask).... make that Graphic Boost.
So far i have only been able to mimic it by adding a top layer in burn mode.And that really doesn't get it quite right either.This looks promising though.

David alreadu know about Local Normalization but yes also Swiss Mask may do the trick and somehow more softly.

Here it is (Rodilius), with GB with pencil smoothing enabled.
I ran Graphic Boost first then Rodilius (default settings).
I had to add a few different layers for effect modes also.
Plus some gradient transparencies.
This is close to what i am looking for though.

and i start with a very rough draft.. (Rodilius option for darken)

Rough but the secret is to never overwrite layers, only add new and this layer will be perfect to make the Lions more mean

See now merged back..sure .colors look a bit washed out

Ahh but maybe you want to see the Fractalious -like Rodilious that with white lines...

something as this...oh well this has too low contrasy and saturation and no depth
... but is good to start

The same with contrast and saturation pushed (by duplicate layer on top in multiply mode )
