I was cruising around the internet and saw this image for a PS tut. I didn't follow the tut but decided try my hand at this anyway cuz it looked so cool hot. I spent about a day and a half trying to get everything just right. Maybe a little less flames and a little more text?

Bernhard Stockmann's (Devv on gimpusers.com) fire method works really good with this image type.

Thanks everyone. It gave me the opportunity to work with paths quite a bit, for the first time, while texturing the 3D portions as well as adjusting the lighting effects.

Thanks for the link Mahvin. I worked thru that tut a long time ago but didn't like my results. (Inept I guess) Now that I have learned how, I much prefer using real flames to acheive the desired effect.
