Sir,

Take the gmic_gimp_win32 file out of there! (that's the actual install executable).

What's happening is every time you launch Gimp it scans the plugin fold and executes the .exe file. Plugins can have a .exe extension sometimes!

Hope this helps and happy Gimp'ing!

I am not sure why a CLU file is in your plugins folder you also don't have 'gmic.exe' and 'gmic_gimp.exe' instead you have the installer 'gmic_gimp_win32' and a 'gmic_gimp' file

He's got the gmic_gimp.exe file .. it's just his file extensions are hidden. Bill Gates felt it was easier for common folk to know file types by their iconic representation rather then the letters to the right of the .

That CLU file .. you got me! I know I don't have one in my plugins folder.

if you don't still have the insaller re-download to desktop or downloads file close gimp and click on installer to install, it will locate your plugins folder and install for you. Then restart gimp and you should find gmic at the bottom of you filters.Oh and please don't scream (writing in caps denotes screaming)
