A new beta is out http://www.fractalforums.com/index.php? ... ew;down=30

It is really amazing how are improved 3d fractal programs , most now allow even complex animation-

Honestly looks quite complex to use but seems worth learning

a random video (Click fullscreen for best view )

I downloaded it for Windows and it wouldn't work.
Kinda sucks.
Cool program though, and has come a very long way.

I didn't try yet this beta the previous was working (for what i could guess ...i only try static fractals)
There is a very similar (also as name) program here http://sites.google.com/site/mandelbulber/home

and also a pixelblender filter by subblue (but i believe this last will not allow animation)

Also Incendia make nice 3D fractal but again no animation (and is not free..well except a basic version )

I believe this one
http://sourceforge.net/projects/mandelb ... e/download
is the one that failed to install correctly last time.
I downloaded it and installed it again and ...now it works. That is kind of weird.

Mandelbulb is a great little Fractal Program for 3D fractals. It's one of the most popular if not the most popular for 3D fractals :)

Haltenny is also a pretty famous Person from around DA.

I've tried the program before and have had it running under WINE, made a few things, but I'm more of an Apophysis guy lol.

I do my best, this topic intrigued me, I've been showing up on a few of the forums I used to frequent, and well this one seems to be in the best health, GIMPER seems to have lost a lot of active members

Yes Gimper.net has been purchased and is undergoing some significant changes at this time. :)
