the last stable that is gimp 2.6.11

or if you want a single window mode , python support preinstalled , and some other improvements 2.7.5
But is a beta version so in case you must remember to always save very often

or even both, in case at least 1 of the 2 must be portable (may be installed on the HD but must be the portable) to avoid risk of conflict

with python
gmic must be added

Most of the script will work, but they will give warning

I shared also my version (see gimp new board) that has already last gmic installed but also GAP MathMap and a few other animation script and èplugin

But you may easily remove them or using Edit/preferences or even opening the gimp folder enter in the .27 subfolder
and remove what you don't need from the Plugin and Script subfolders.

also i set up preferences to avoid popping warning when using all plugin and script (iwarning remain visible but in the Error console Tab)

yes
you may just unzip, at soon you explore the folder you will see gimprun exe click there to start NOT on gimp exe

You may also right click on gimprun exe and chose"send to desktop(create link)". to create a link on the desktop to start it

IYou use 7 so is better don't unzip in Program Files if you wish add/remove something (7 put a lock there preventing changes)
any other place is fine

Last if you want unistall just delete the folder

Remember you should only use Gimp-2.6.11 for production purposes. :)
You can install both portables of Gimp-2.6.11 and Gimp-2.7.5 on your laptop without any conflict.

That is correct
Anyway by saving often eliminate almost all the possible problem of using a beta version
(in the worst case you will loose the very last chances )
