With 2012 under way, I plan to make this the single best year for myself as a growing artist. This marks my first piece for the year. I draw everything first on paper, but I do all my scanning and tweaking solely in GIMP. The new brush dynamics have dramatically helped make tweaking the line art with my tablet less of a hassle. The character in this image is from the Witchblade comics.

Thanks! :) I plan to colorize it soon. Tentatively, I want to do that this week.

She looks fantastic but her neck is very thick and masculane.

Great work! Since she is a warrior, judging from the armor on her arms, legs and hand. As far as the neck, well it is slightly strong and muscular looking, but then these warrior types can be both feminine and muscular. Can't wait to see the colorization and textures.

Her right arm is beckoning towards the camera and her left arm is visible until the elbow and then it disappears behind her torso.

Here's the final colorized picture. Coloring is not one of my strong suits, but I think my colors recently are better than they were years ago.

Now, I could have swore that I commented on this already (might have gotten ninja'ed and didn't notice). Anyway, fantastic sketch result for sure. Now that I see the additional colorizing of it, it's jaw dropping fantastic. Thanks for sharing. :)

This piece is a few months old, but is what I consider one of my best works. The character is Zelda from the Legend of Zelda series.

New sketch. Hasn't yet been colored in GIMP, but soon will be!

That last one could be related to Griatch and his jester girl. Very nice work. :)

The character is actually a Twilek from the Star Wars comics named Darth Talon. I see the jester comparison with the tendrils on her head though.
