I really don't have that big of a drive and not that much left of what I do have. Which would be the best way to go? Also can I do a clean remove of the install if I want?
Thanks
Is that how your Acer came from the factory or have you re-installed or upgraded Windows on the system?
In other words, can you still hit Alt-F10 (I believe that's it) to bring up your recovery menu?
You have to be careful when upgrading Windows or installing Linux on systems with recovery partitions you want to keep or you might overwrite the Acer custom MBR, which will keep you from getting into the system recovery menu and accessing the recovery partition.
That actually may not be a problem, you can always recover from disks (if you have them). If you've upgraded Windows or you're dual booting two operating systems on the same drive and overwritten the MBR, the Acer recovery partition is probably not very useful, at this point. In that case, you could use it for something else.
The system came with Win7 home. I upgraded it to Win7 Ultimate. I made a rescue disk and I did a drive image. I have EasyBCD for the mbr and how it will come up. Win7, or Mint. I want to be prepared for any mess up that may happen. If you can think of anything please let me know.
Thank you for your time also.
