How to display Layer Size info at Title or Status bar

GIMP Version: 2.7.2
Operating System: Linux
OS Version: Ubuntu 10.10
GIMP Experience: Basic Level

I tried to find this option in GIMP preferences, but couldn't. I know that
it's possible to display image dimension at window's title or status bar. But
how can I display the currently selected layer dimension?

Because I see the only way to see this info is by calling the "Scale Layer" or "Layer Boundary Size"
dialog windows. If this is not possible, a way to just to turn on mouse hovering would help also.

I don't know if I understand your question but I understand your layers are the same size as in your title bar. If it says 640x480 in the title bar then that is the size of your layers.
Correct me if I am wrong.

You can have a 200x200 layer in a 1000x1000 image.... not all layers have the same size as the canvas.

And no, I don't know a way to display this information directly in Gimp (without using the measure tool). It shouldn't be very hard to write a script that adds this information in the layers names.

Welcome to Gimp Chat.
The only way i can think of is to possibly add it as a style to your gimprc...how?
