Still liking the gradient along selection plugin. Created the seamless texture (not as clean as I wanted it to be) and then the sphere (like you all know I like to do).

That is very cool. I love the sphere. I'd like to know what you used to make it seamless.

Thanks all. To O, I first started off with the Loop selection and ran the py script. I then dup, and half-wrapped the base layer and made a copy of the base layer to the Top layer (for a total of three layers). I then selectively erased alternating sections on the Top layer to get the interleave. I then merged visable, dupped, rotated 90º, copied the base layer to the Top layer and did a similar step as before for the more complicated result.

I have to think about what you just said, Lyle. A little confusing, but maybe if I tried it, it would make more sense to me.

It's all about the magic of erase throughs. Having a duplicate of the Top layer at the Base layer too makes it easier to erase those sections on Top where you want to.

It dawned on me afterwards, what you meant. I did something similar with a cube, some time ago.

Excellent. Yeah; hard to explain, but not hard to do. Most of the time I run in to tuts that that author guesses is easy to explain but in execution it is hard to do. lol

I should of said that I started with creating a loop PC. lol

The half-wrap and erase though steps aren't easily outlined, but it is easy if you actually do it as PM did.

I made the original loop, duplicated it and ran my switch sides script on it. Now I see where I nee to modify my switch side script to allow for alpha channel!
