Appreciate the effort samj and am sure folk here will like it. For me personally, I never have used GIMP's help. lol

I do online searches when I had questions but mainly learned the features in GIMP by the school of hard knocks (because I tend to be an idiot). lol

I agree with Lyle in the respect that folks are really going to appreciate and find this very useful.
Sam do you know if this is a complete Gimp-2.8 manual? I used the one from Google docs for my help browser installer package, and the content wasn't quite all there.

You can unzip "gimp_2_8_en.chm" with 7zip.

I agree with Lyle and Rod. In the past I've downloaded the whole online gimp help manual and converted it to an Ebook but ended up never using it, still I'll be very grateful for a 2.8 version.
