This series was inspired by Draconian's Metal Wurx series, but instead of metal, I will go through some of the techniques I use to get some cool effects surrounding light and visual sound waves (such as with an oscilloscope).
Part 1 will deal with Basic Beams and such
Part 2 will deal with what some people call "Fairy Dust" (which will be explained in said tut)
Part 3 will deal with some basic waves and "sounds"
(This is what I have outlined so far, as others may be added)
If you are interested let me know, because if no one is interested than this would be useless to make public.
They will also be hosted on http://justpaste.it/
(The image below is a combo of all of the above.)

Will begin work tonight, should be posted by this weekend. Will post it on justpast.it and as a .doc here. Any other formats wanted? I want to try to take some strain off of Tux's server so the images and such will be hosted off site, in other words you have to download the .doc or go to justpaste.it. I will also attempt to iframe the justpaste.it into the forums so you don't necessarily have to browse to the link.

Personally, I'd rather see the images hosted here. That way they won't eventually disappear. (GimpTalk has a real problem with missing images in the older tutorials.) You can include the images inline with the 'Upload File' button in the message editor tool bar.

Many people have LibreOffice or OpenOffice instead of Word. Those programs read .doc files reasonably well, but not perfectly - at least in my experience.

In other words, I'd prefer to see tutorials done the way Draconian does his tutorials.

Just my two cents.

Only reason why I am using justpaste.it is really because of the ability to copy and paste directly from word/libre and not have to upload image....wait.....put image in where you want.....wait.....continue editing...repeat....

PS molly you ninja :ninja

I moved and have hardly the time right now. I am still looking for a new job, unpacking the house, moving things to storage, and trying to stay involved in some projects of mine. I am still trying to get it out, but will may only be able to get one done at a time.

Ah, I saw the Heading to Montana but didn't know when that was from. Well, I'll be looking forward to it when you get settled and have time. Good luck with things.

Alright, just taking the next couple of days to finish the last of TUT 1, but to show a better demonstration of some of the thing to be done I made a better title page image:
