Nothing to do with gimp or even computers but a matter of pride. I just found out that a local girl is in the Olympics.

Did you see the intro opening from London?
As if the Queen parachuted into the arena while they played James Bond. :lol

We have some special Olympics at the Grand valley College also. People with transplants and the like.

Gms9810, Excellent what a great accomplishment for her!

The opening ceremonies were very good. My highlights were; the very beginning when they built the Olympic rings, seeing all the happy faces of the athletes coming in and the lighting of the cauldron.

No, we don't have tv. We couldn't afford both net and tv, and there is so much garbage on tv the choice was sinple,

Cool...we also have a local in the olympics! High Jumper (or is it long jump, I've forgotten) Erik Kynard is from Toledo, currently going to University in Kansas. Good luck to all the USA team members! I enjoyed the historical journey of the UK at the opening ceremonies.
