I remember when I first saw this movie on TV (did not see it at the theatre) and said the movie was quite surreal but the music was just way too awesome. I had several of Tangerine Dream CDs but had no idea that they wrote the music for this movie. Very unique music they make. One of there CDs I hated until I played it 3 or 4 times and it just grew on me. lol

All my music is locked up in storage. Never did get the CD Soundtrack for the movie. Was going to buy the VHS but found out it was not for general sale but can be purchased for like $90 and I said at that time I'll pass. lol

If you folks ever do see it played on the SyFy channel or other venue, it's worth watching just for the music in it. The track here is my favorite and just found it (see how bored I am when nothing's on TV worth watching either. lol). Thought maybe one or two may like my isoteric taste in music.

I don't believe I've seen this one. I'm interested now. I'm a fan of ambient and krautrock, not to mention horror. I have seen a movie called Angst, which Klaus Schulze did the soundtrack for. I still think the music was odd. It was like the music from a cheesy, 80s action movie that went straight to video.

Great movie classic. First Tangerine Dream album I ever owned was Stratosphere. I was doing a lot of traveling at the time so I bought a few more and I used them for road music. I think I have like 12 of their albums my favoite being 220 Volt.

I've got a box set of 7 Tangerine Dream albums from the later years. I've always been a fan of synth music although my tastes are frequently even more esoteric.

I have never been a synthesized music fan.I am more of a country bumpkin i guess.
I do love 80's classic rock though.Most of it anyways.

That may apply to Tangerin Dream, even if for a period they had quite good guitarist

But for sure the Amon Dull were not doing much " synthesized music

Sounds more on the heavy metal side to me PC; I'm more into all instrumental but still nice to hear since I never heard of Amon Dull before.

Lyle, Amon Duul II might sound heavy to you but they're considered to be one of the founders of krautrock. More progressive, psychedelic, experimental than heavy metal. What's your beef with Hasselhoff?

Oh, I enjoyed the Knight Rider series; enjoyed them tremendously, but just don't get why he's such a popular singer in Germany. lol

You must not have watched the video. There's a grind cover of this song that actually sounds good, to a grind fan at least. There's a more recent video of him covering Hooked on a Feeling. It's kind of amusing, kind of sad.

I guess I'm biased. I like actors to be actors and singers to be singers and don't like them when things deviate. lol

The days of the musicals died long ago; yes, they did it all in the day. Doris Day's still one of my Dad's favorite singer/actresses. You also had the all three combos like Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly (Sammy D. too of course), but again, except for Maddonna's many attempts, the days of the singer/actor is long gone. Still, have to admit I still liked Knight Rider. lol

Child of the late 70s/early 80s. I still actually remember and liked Autocop too. lol

Now, I pretty much only like some animation, SyFy stuff, Science Channel, and Ancient Aliens on H2 when I'm not watching news. Tastes change I guess. Old fuddy-duddy I am now.
