Normally I use my big Olympus E600, which can be used automatically or manually. It's a professional camera but it's too big to carry everywhere I go. I wanted a little point n shoot that I could carry on my belt or in my pocket. I've been using a little Kodak that someone threw away and I fixed, my electronics background was still helpful, but it wasn't a very good camera, in fact it was lousy. This morning my wife bought me a
Nikon S3300 along with a 16G SD card and ordered 2 batteries on Ebay along with a spare charger. Since my step dad was a professional photographer he insisted that I had a decent camera so I've had a $1200 Nikon since I was in grade school. This thing has good glass, good features and takes massively big pics so I'm looking forward to using it.

Now it's full of dirt, toothmarks, and dog slobber.
No more open minds or dogs for me.
