3d tiles

Hi there,

I've added a new filter in the G'MIC plug-in, located at 'Sequences / 3d tiles'. It is able to generate 3d animated tiles to make a transition between 2 (or more) layers.
It is available after a filter update for users of the plug-in, version 1.5.1.6+.

I show here two examples I've generated with this new effect. Feel free to share yours !

That looks cool Nixnine, did you use the 'cumulative layers' mode when saving the animation as a .gif file ?

I have not seen cumulative layers option during save as gif. The first image was eight layers which went through the gmic filter at once. Just duplicated the originals after to add more display time.

Sorry I couldn't answer your question. The filter is interesting though.

I think these .gif are saved in 'cumulative' mode for the layers, because one can see the previous frames as a background. With the 'replace layers' mode, you would have a real transparent background instead.

Explain how you do that. Because running the layers through the filter result in the previous frame being seen. Do I need to change something in the filter settings?

Nice work Nix! There should be a whole section in GMIC for "Transitions" like all the ones used in making PowerPoint presentations only with brand spanking new ones like this. Great filter, Dave!
