Stuck in the 60's

Ok, I know I went mega-bright with this one, but that was the 60's!

If anyone want's to make something like it, let me know and I will point them to the filter used and tell them what I did. It was ultra-simple.

I remember bits and pieces of the 60's. I was born in 60, so I remember more of the 70's, too.

I particularly like the effect within the font. What filter did you use?

I used the Sinfinity plugin, that is part of Harry's Filters. Harry's filters are free and it's a huge set of great filters. (http://thepluginsite.com/)

More fun with the same filter.

Harry's filters are pretty cool. Made some pretty cool renders over the years using them.

Gimpchat Bumper Sticker! It has a nice optical illusion effect to it. The edges looked curved!

Argh, so outta the loop. I don't have mathmap or G'mic or even Python for all the lovely plug-ins.

Simple download for both Mathmap and G'MIC 2-Ton. Python for Windows is a little more involved, but not impossible. I just recently installed it (have to use the old version of Python unfortunately since GIMP Python linkers (well that's what I call them) aren't compatible with the latest version of Python. If you use Linux, you already have Python installed and GIMP Python in Linux will work there with no effort.

I use windows XP, and have a rather old computer. It already runs slow, so I'm sort of leery about adding all these new graphics programs. I have the zip for mathmap, seems I may have tried to install it but didn't get anywhere. When I have more time after Christmas, I may try to put all these goodies into my computer.

I am running XP and my computer is slow too, but python, mathmap and G'MIC don't slow it down a millisecond and they all work sweetly!

Python, mathmap and G'MIC all run seamlessly, in Gimp. Once installed, you forget that you added them separately.

I agree with PM, i use all of them too without any problems with speed.They all run flawlessly and quickly on my Windows XP platform.I have only 500 mb of ram so that is pretty good for me. =)

In fact Gimp runs pretty nicely no matter which plug-ins i add usually. It just takes a little longer to initialize is all.
