Hello,

I am totally new to GIMP. I am going to working at a friends house from their computer for the next few weeks.

The person was a bit nerves about downloading the regular version of GIMP onto their computer.

I asked the question previoously. I can download the regular version of GIMP to external hard drive and use it from that correct?

I am just asking again to put their mind at ease.

I do already know GIMP has a portable version. I was not interested in using that for what I will need to do.

The best solution seemed to download the regular version to an external hard drive.

Yes, you can download, install and run the regular version of Gimp to an external hard drive that is plugged into that persons USB port.

I use it on a USB all the time. Works fine.
