Pauline,

3 & 4 are already available to you in McGimp. :)

Gegl enabling is already gone. So, don't worry about. (When I upload 2.8.2, it will not longer be there).

Anchoring etc. is for Linux only.

Drac, does IE8 have "Compatibility Mode"? I don't recall.
if so, click the page icon as shown below, when the page fails to load.
Worth a try...

Odin - If I'm not mistaken IE9 only works with Win 7 and I'm still using XP on my desktop. I make try to take a look at it later on my laptop that has IE9.

b10h4z4rd - Been there, done that, got the coffee cup and the T-shirt, sold the cup in a garage sale. :mrgreen: It just locks up no matter what I try. Not gonna worry about it. Now that I see others have no problem I know it's on my end.

Thanks for trying to help guys.

Ditto

And all including GAP and GPS is available in Gimp_PhotoComix_Lab.

The article was nice when was written, 3 years later is quite outdated, and also the very concept of "replace" PS with Gimp is quite questionable , i believe is a wrong approach and that use gimp as was Photoshop or vice versa can not give very good result

As would not give good result drive a motorbike as if was a track or vice versa, be able to drive one could make easier learn to drive the other, but only having in mind the differences.

@Draconian

maybe just try Google Chrome would solve all your problem...nothing to loose IE would remain
